I had so much fun working on this project for the Queen Elizabeth Medical Centre Trust to create a more inviting space for staff and visitors to enjoy. I seized the opportunity to paint across multiple planes, down the walls and onto the ground to create ‘Zest’. It was inspired by researching human cells, nerve endings and tissue as well as array of native plants at the nearby Kings Park. The concept underwent many iterations, combining different elements together and selecting the final colour palette.
💚 WHAT I LOVE about my job is that I get to work in all sorts of environments from hospitals, to universities, libraries, parks, corporate offices, buildings sites… and get to meet people from all walks of life. You never know who you will meet and I’ve had some interesting conversations!
❎ FUN FACT: I was a graphic designer/marketer for most of my working life, chained to a computer. I couldn’t hack working in a quiet office environment though, so have nearly always been self employed. Now I enjoy the best of both worlds – working on my iPad/iMac and then getting outdoors into the real world, bringing the projects to life.
