In November 2022 I had the absolute pleasure of working with the @darlingtonartsfestival and local Darlington community to produce a collaborative mural. With funding from the @shireofmundaring I worked with DAFYEP! (Darlington Arts Festival Youth Engagement Partnership!) to create a vibrant artwork of celebration and inclusivity. Inspiration was initially drawn from photographic documentation during site visits. Secondly from participant output at a creative design workshop, with the design including elements from each participant. The artistic intent of the imagery and colour palette is to highlight the uniqueness and beauty of Darlington and its diverse community.

Referencing the local natural bush land, ‘Stay Wild’ is also a gentle reminder to maintain inquisitiveness in life.

Thanks to everyone who attended the design workshop and to all who braved the heat over the festival weekend to come along and paint! What a fantastic team effort it was and so great to see people of all ages get on the brushes and enjoy themselves. Mural assistant @tessadorotich was a star to work with! The mural greatly enhances the ambience of the pavilion site, transforming a blank brick wall into a fun backdrop. I hope it provides years of enjoyment for all. ✨
