Driven by intuitive mark making. Turning off. Tuning in. Pushing and pulling the paint. Scribbling and smudging. Covering up. Painting over. Arriving. Through this uninhibited exploration of form and colour, an artwork manifested encapsulating the essence of my creative spirit – a testament to the cathartic power of self-expression through painting.

In this body of work I explore the connection and divide between my public art and studio practices. Free of client constraints, the dynamic mark making is intuitively expressive. Resisting boundaries the resulting aesthetic invites an open dialogue.

These are the largest studio paintings on canvas I’ve created and I love working at that scale. Created over several months, the works experiment between a bold punch of colour combinations to gentler pastels.
