Concept and Approach
Temporal Constructs explores the shifting nature of perception over time, using abstracted, layered forms to suggest both the permanence of structure and the transience of moments. Its geometry plays with light and shadow, changing character as the day progresses. At a distance, the form reads as a strong silhouette against the sky and ocean; up close, textured surfaces invite slower viewing and tactile curiosity.
Interaction with Site
Positioned within the rhythms of the beach, the work changed constantly – catching early morning light, throwing complex shadows in the afternoon, and taking on a softer presence in the evening. Visitors often circled the sculpture, framing it against the horizon or discovering new alignments from different vantage points.
